Huddy House Bed & Breakfast Policies
We’re delighted to welcome you to Huddy House Bed & Breakfast. Please review the following policies designed to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all our guests. Please note that this is a historic home and all guest bedrooms are located on the second floor.
Reservation & Payment
All reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking. We recommend all guests consider travel insurance to cover any unexpected emergencies. We have a no-cancellation policy. Refunds are not issued, but a travel credit valid for two years from the purchase date will be provided. We cannot issue refunds or make changes to one-night bookings or gift certificate reservations, and we are not responsible for weather or other events beyond our control.
If you do not arrive for your reservation (a "no-show"), the full amount is non-refundable and may not be applied toward a future stay. Some dates may require a minimum stay, and those booking on such dates agree to the minimum-night requirement.
Rates & Guest Occupancy
Room rates are based on single or double occupancy and do not include NJ State Sales Tax or Hotel Occupancy Tax. Each room accommodates a maximum of two guests, with the exception of King Peter Michael, which can accommodate four guests. A cot may be reserved in advance for an additional fee. We accept cash, traveler’s checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
Victorian Tea & Dining Services
Our elegant Victorian teas at our sister property, the Mathis House Victorian Tea Room and Bed & Breakfast, located at 600 Main Street, are not included in your stay but may be booked in advance. Group teas and private dinners can also be arranged through the Innkeeper, but only for overnight guests. Special discounts and buy one get one free offers for show tickets, teas, and events to the Mathis House may be offered. Please reach the Innkeeper for more information
Dinner service at the Mathis House is available by reservation only on Friday and Saturday evenings. Due to staffing constraints, dinners are served at scheduled times and must be reserved by calling the Inn before adding selections to your online cart.
Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in is from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Please provide your estimated arrival time when booking.
Check-ins after 5:00 PM may be arranged in advance and incur a $25 per hour late check-in fee. Late-night check-ins are not permitted.
Check-out is at 11:00 AM. Please return your room key before departure.
Breakfast & Dietary Needs
A full gourmet hot breakfast is served at 9:00 AM in our Tea Room. An earlier breakfast can be arranged with notice. If you are walking down to the Mathis House, please use the crosswalk by New Life Church to cross Main Street. Please inform us in advance of any dietary restrictions or allergies. We can provide gluten-free and vegetarian options with advance notice to allow us time to shop accordingly. A coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator are available for guest use in the kitchenette located on the main level.
Smoking & Property Damage
For the health and safety of all guests, smoking is not permitted inside the house or on the porch. Evidence of smoking will result in a $200 cleaning fee, and guests will be asked to vacate the property without refund. The Bed & Breakfast has a hard wired alarm system that is synced with the fire and police department. Please do not create any smoke, steam, or candles will set off the alarm.
As our guest, we ask that you respect the home and its belongings. Damages or missing items, including stained linens, broken furnishings, or lost keys, will be charged to the credit card on file. Children should be supervised at all times.
Visitor Policy & Group Bookings
No additional guests may remain on the property after 10:00 PM without prior approval from the Innkeeper. Due to parking limitations and fire code restrictions, please advise the Innkeeper if you would like to have visitors. To book three or more rooms, a minimum of 5 days’ notice is required. Booking the any rooms at the Inn requires payment in full at the time of reservation.
Parking & Accessibility
Free parking is available in a well-lit lot directly beside the Inn or on street parking while being mindful of local parking laws.
Housekeeping & Eco-Green Policy
Housekeeping is available daily. Rooms are serviced daily unless requested to please do not disturb. In support of our Eco-Green Commitment, linens, towels, and robes are refreshed every three nights. We are happy to provide replacements sooner upon request. Need Assistance?
